11:00a – 11:30a Keynote Jeffrey Laurenti Keynote speaker Jeffrey Laurenti graduated magna cum laude in government from Harvard University and received his masters in public affairs from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
11:30a-12:15p Delegate Training Nicholas Pearson, Chargé d’Affaires First-time Model UN attendees will quickly come up to speed on Model UN procedure and experienced Model UNers will get a refresher.
12:15p – 12:30p Benefits of Model UN Nicholas Emery University of Pennsylvania student Nicholas Emery, Secretary-General of AHMUNC 2013, will discuss how he has benefitted from Model UN.
12:30p – 12:45p Writing Excellent Position Papers Nathan Emery, Secretary-General Nathan Emery will review the process for creating an award-winning position paper.
12:45p – 1:45p Lunch All Lunch is the responsibility of the delegate. There is a Panera within walking distance and delegates may also bring their lunch.
1:45p – 3:15p Committee Session I Chair: Nathan Emery, Secretary-General Delegates will get into Model UN first-hand with discussion and debate around an engaging topic.
3:15p – 3:30p Break All Delegates will have the opportunity to get to know each other a little better.
3:30p – 5:00p Committee Session II Chair: Nicholas Pearson, Chargé d’Affaires During this session, delegates will attempt to pass a resolution.
5:00p – 5:15p Break All During the final break, the Secretariat will decide the award winners.
5:15p – 5:30p Closing Ceremonies and Awards All Conference close.
