AHMUNC VIII was a Virtual Success!
On Saturday, February 6, 2021 delegates debated Brexit and were able to come up with an agreement in just one day. The conference was led by Yennie Seong, Secretary-General, AHMUNC VIII, Quentin Economy, Chargé d’Affaires, AHMUNC VIII and Morgan Emery, Director-General of Virtual Affairs, AHMUNC VIII (a new role for a new age).

Ivy League Model United Nations Conf (ILMUNC) XXXVI
Club earns Outstanding Delegate Award at University of Pennsylvania Conference!
Congratulations to Quentin Economy (Head Delegate) and Gabriel Karl on their Outstanding Delegate award at the 36th annual international model UN conference in February 2020:  the Ivy League Model UN Conference (ILMUNC)  hosted by the University of Pennsylvania where 3,000 students attended! Quentin and Gabriel teamed-up in a double-delegation committee as representatives from Bhutan to the STABILITY COUNCIL OF ASIA AND THE PACIFIC covering Topic A: Asian Income Inequality and Stratification and Topic B: Hong Kong: Current Situation and Future Actions.

On September 28, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Narberth, PA delegates participated in stimulating debate, intelligent conversation, and learned about the world of Model United Nations. The conference was led by Joshua Louie, Secretary-General, AHMUNC VII and Yennie Seong Chargé d’Affaires, AHMUNC VII.

AHMUNC VI Recap!

On September 22 in Lawrenceville, NJ students gathered for stimulating debate, intelligent collaboration, and the opportunity to learn more about the world of Model United Nations. Secretary-General Maximus Bean and Chargé d’Affaires Joshua Louie led the delegation to pass two resolutions acting as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and addressing the Venezuelan Humanitarian Crisis. Nathan Emery, a senior in the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program, talked about what Model UN meant to him in his scholarly journey, homeschooling to the Ivy League, study abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia and answered questions from students.

Our award winners were:

  • Best Delegate – James Ward (Spain)
  • Best Delegate, Honorable Mention – Neil Karkhanis (South Sudan)
  • Best Position Paper – Eugene Seong (Syrian Arab Republic)
  • Best Position Paper, Honorable Mention – Yennie Seong (Canada)
